Writer's picture: Jose MartinezJose Martinez

Los Angeles Magazine is proud to present Angels of Comedy, an unforgettable night of laughter and giving back.

This benefit of belly laughs will take place on Thursday, February 13 at Engine Co. No. 28 — one of the city’s oldest firehouses — to raise vital funds to support victims of the devastating Los Angeles wildfires. All proceeds will directly benefit the Pasadena Community Foundation.

The evening will feature an exhilarating lineup of some of L.A.’s funniest comedians, as well as Firehouse Chili (both beef and vegan), cornbread, cocktails, beer, and wine. Sharon Fredrickson will serve as Host for the evening and will guide attendees through a lineup of stand-up performances from Aida Rodriguez, Ashley Burgess, Carla Collins, Erik Rivera, Kim McVicar, Kwame Siegel, Renee Percy, Sandy Stec, Maxi Witrak, and Peter S. Kim. In addition to the laughs, the evening will feature an exclusive raffle where guests can win once-in-a-lifetime prizes. The event will also honor Los Angeles First Responders, sharing their inspiring stories and recognizing their heroism.

“After witnessing the devastation caused by these fires, I knew we needed to do more than just donate,” states Sharon Fredrickson, Host of Angels of Comedy. “Angels of Comedy is about coming together as a community to heal.”

Show up early to enjoy Firehouse Chili & Cocktails from 6 – 7:15 pm. The Angels of Comedy show will begin at 7:30 pm.

As the fallout from the wildfires continue to devastate Los Angeles, displacing families, overwhelming first responders, and leaving animals without homes. Angels of Comedy provides a unique opportunity for the community to come together, share laughter, and heal—all while raising critical funds to aid recovery efforts.

“Los Angeles has always been a city of resilience. This event brings our community together through comedy and generosity to support those who need it most” says Chris Gialanella, President and Publisher of Los Angeles Magazine.

Angels of Comedy is made possible by sponsors Boomtown Brewery, Garrison Brothers, Gelato Festival, Golden Eagle Vodka, Hollywood Creative Alliance, KNEKT TV and Mezcal 33.

Let’s unite as a community to rebuild the City of Angels, bringing laughter, hope, and support to those who need it most. Together, we can create a stronger, brighter future for Los Angeles.
