39TH VENICE FAMILY CLINIC’S
ART WALK & AUCTIONS
As the largest art walk in Southern California, the 39th Venice Family Clinic’s Art Walk & Auctions supports the clinic’s important role in providing quality health care to people in need. Taking place Sunday, May 20 at Google's Venice Headquarters, the space will transform into an art gallery for the event. Venice Art Walk is the largest public event held by the tech giant.
This year honors three world-renowned Venice-based artists: this year’s signature artist Alexis Smith - an LA-based collage and installation artist, who has exhibited extensively from the Whitney to MOCA - along with honorees Sam Durant, renowned for his social artwork, and Ed Moses, posthumously one of the most experimental artists of the last half-century and a former VFCAWA honoree.
Guests can enjoy free access to the city’s internationally-renowned art scene and all winning bids in the silent auction raise vital funds that directly impact the lives of people in need of health care. The fundraiser features exhibitions, studio tours and a silent auction along with engaging community activations from live art exhibits curated by artist Bert Rodriguez to guided art workshops, live music and craft beer and wine garden, dog daycare and bike valet.
For a $50 donation, guests can enjoy special access to dozens of artists’ studios. This year’s auction will include the works of 250 artists, including such luminaries as John Baldessari, Gary Baseman, Ed Ruscha and Alison Saar as well as emerging talent, with the goal of exceeding the $800,000 raised last year.
In honor of Venice Family Clinic, Hotel Erwin is offering an art-caytion package - Walk the (Venice) Art Walk - to those who want to ditch their cars for the weekend with $100 from each package donated to Venice Family Clinic and access to Venice Family Clinic’s Art Walk VIP events.
