PLAN CHECK FAIRFAX & STUSSY COMBINE FORCES TO FUSE FOOD, FASHION, AND STREET CULTURE THRU MARCH 13
Call it a strange collaboration of sorts, but the new Plan Check on Fairfax Avenue, L.A.'s modern American eatery, and Stussy, the iconic street wear lifestyle brand, have teamed up for a week-long special featuring a custom menu and limited edition Stussy t-shirt.
Now through Thursday, March 13, Plan Check Kitchen + Bar and Stussy are combining food and fashion to celebrate Plan Check’s second restaurant opening in the heart of Fairfax Village, the epicenter of street style and skate culture. Executive Chef Ernesto Uchimura will serve up a custom Stussy Pack that includes a ‘Belly of the Beast’ burger, Taco Truck fries, D-Lux Soda, and 8 Ball Donut Holes.
I can’t say enough about the phenomenal Belly of the Beast Burger – it’s one damn fine burger that I wish would make its way onto the permanent menu. Made with a house ground beef patty, braised brisket fritter, melted Swiss cheese, beet horseradish mustard, roasted onion spread, and parsley salad, it’s ridiculously flavorful.
Likewise, the Taco Truck Fries, made with manteca cooked fries, house made taco seasoning, avocado guacamole, habañero salsa, cotija crema, cilantro, and escabeche jalapeno, are super tasty fries that really pair well with the savory burger.
The D-Lux Soda, a pleasant mix of Luxardo cherry soda, Remy Martin VSOP Cognac, and St. Germain foam, is nice and refreshing and really tasty. It goes down very easy.
And don’t forget about the 8 Ball Donut Holes made with chocolate donut holes, chocolate sugar, chocolate pastry cream, whipped cream, and raspberries. You might think of this as overkill but this particular $49 meal, which also includes a limited edition t-shirt, is so over the top, why not go for broke?
