ORGANIC MEXICAN CUISINE THAT DELIVERS!
It’s a pretty common belief that most things are best when they’re just like Mom made them. It’s what we know and what we love. Now, when you’re referring to your Mexican food as modern organic Mexican, well, that’s just like nobody probably ever said before, but why can’t your Mexican grub have a fresh, modern and organic taste? And that’s exactly where M|O|M steps in.
M|O|Mis a delivery service that provides traditional home style Mexican cuisine using all organic and locally-sourced ingredients straight to your doorstep. M|O|Mdelivers to West Hollywood, Hollywood, Beverly Hills and surrounding areas via Postmates and UberEATS.
Now, you may be reluctant to try a new service but here’s where the reassurance of using M|O|Mcomes in to play. It’s the same kitchen as Mexican favorites Toca Madera, and Tocaya Organica. Now those are names you can trust.
During a recent interview with Madera Group co-founder Tosh Berman, he described M/O/M as a concept with a focus on the comfort dishes of traditional home style Mexican cuisine.
“It’s no secret, technology is driving the way we all live and increasingly, the way we eat. Delivery services like Postmates and UberEATS have already proven to be hugely successful for our Tocaya Organica and Toca Madera concepts, and this is one of the major reasons we wanted to create M|O|M, which is an entirely new, delivery-only concept for us to bring more options for fresh, delicious and most of all, convenient modern organic Mexican to our customer's doorsteps. We've value-engineered the menu and created dishes that we know carry well. For example, we use corn tortillas instead of flour as we've found that it carries cheese better when it comes to delivery. We also serve the comfort food you typically would crave with traditional home style Mexican but use only high-quality and fresh ingredients.”
M|O|M offers quality Mexican food at a reasonable price—something I haven’t always said about Toca Madera. The same guacamole, albeit a smaller portion, is $8 instead of $12. Likewise, the tamales—two to an order—are $7.50 with your choice of organic free-range chicken and truffle or vegan sweet corn and truffle mushroom.
Tacos come three to an order as opposed to two an order at Toca Madera. I found the Spicy Chicken, and the Spicy Shrimp to be very pleasing. The enchiladas at $16 an order is pricer but now we’re talking entrees, and the Enchiladas de Mole are smothered in 24-hour simmered mole made of 42 ingredients.
M|O|M’s Burrito is $14 but it’s a hearty and satisfying beast prepared with garlic Mexican rice, black beans, chopped onions and cilantro, fresh avocado and salsa de arbol wrapped in a large flour tortilla served with a side of fire roasted salsa. And the same tasty sides such as Arroz Mexicano and MOM’s Black Beans are almost half priced compared to Toca Madera.
“M|O|M focuses more on the comfort dishes of traditional home style Mexican cuisine,” Berman points out. “We also kept M|O|M’s price point in mind as we wanted to offer a lower price point than our full-service restaurant, Toca Madera, which is more premium where the average is around $70 per person, but yet higher than our fresh casual concept, Tocaya Organica, which averages around $17.50 a person.”
While a big draw at dining at Toca Madera is its energetic lounge setting, in addition to fun people watching, as well as its quality cocktail program, having M/O/M delivered is your opportunity to enjoy fine Mexican food where you want it. In my case that meant with me playing bartender serving up mezcal Palomas and beers with our delicious delivered feast.
It’s also a way to enjoy fine fare that Mom would be proud of without having to make her (or you) do any heavy lifting—unless you ordered the burrito and then be prepared to lift that bad boy.
M/O/M delivers from 5pm to midnight seven days a week. Call 323-553-3003.
