Some people like to celebrate Valentine’s Day with a nice, quiet dinner while others love to go big and opulent. For those keen on over indulgence, look no further than celebrating at Beauty & Essex and dive headfirst into their over-the-top Valentine’s Day dessert.
Dessert you say? How indulgent can it be? One thousand calories? Nope, try $1,000. That’s right, we’re talking one grand here boys and girls. Here’s the grand lowdown.
This offering is complete with a chocolate sphere that you crack open to reveal a white diamond from the Beauty & Essex pawn shop. WTF?
Picture this, this grand dessert consists of a tray of Espresso Macchiato served with sugar jewels in a heart-shaped locket and the aforementioned chocolate sphere incasing a round, brilliant cut white diamond. There’s also a jewelry box filled with glitter dusted doughnuts served with caramel, chocolate and berry dipping sauces; a jewelry box of chocolate hearts with various fillings; and a bottle of Veuve Clicquot Rosé Champagne.
If you’re the king of person that likes to go big or go home, this is probably perfect for you. Personally, I don’t know how I feel about this. I guess if you have an issue with the price, well, then you can’t afford it. If dropping 1,000 duckets on dessert doesn’t faze you, then why not. I just hope that “someone special” is worth the effort. You know everyone in the restaurant will be judging you (good and bad).
Valentine’s Day only comes once a year so go for it if you dare. FYI, there will only be six of these extravagant desserts at each of the L.A., NYC and Vegas locations.
